Actually, it isn’t and it never was. We are, and always have been, a Representative Republic. In a Republic, the law rules, not the masses. Well, in theory at least.

The birthing movement–sounds like some kind of La Mans class–was dealt a blow yesterday when Congress unanimously voted on a resolution commemorating the 50th anniversary of statehood for Hawaii. The amendment recognized the state as the birthplace of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama.

So all the hard right Republicans in the House, like Michelle Bachmann and Virginia Foxx, now are on record voting for a resolution, which says Hawaii is the birth place of Barack Obama. Now they have to face the birthers back home.

I think the best thing to do is to not tune in to the news at all. Of course, that is not possible. What I do is tune my radio to both the “left”, the “right,” and the “in between” radio stations. Forget TV. I then try to make my own informed opinion based on the balance of the three. As for the birth certificate: Who cares?!! What century are we in, anyway?!

To all the birthers in La, La Land, it is on you to prove to all of us that your assertion is true, if there are people who were there and support your position then show us the video (everyone has a price), either put up or frankly shut-up. I heard Orly Taitz, is selling a tape (I think it’s called “Money, Lies and Video tape”). She is from Orange County, CA, now I know what the mean when they say “behind the Orange Curtain”, when they talk about Orange County, the captial of Conspiracy Theories. You know Obama has a passport, fooled them too?
